LEARN TO FLY
Discovery Flight
-
-Learn to fly! From the take off to the landing and beautiful flight in between, you get real hands-on adventure flying a floatplane.
-No experience or license is required.
-Fly left seat (captains seats) on the first flight.
-You are at the controls guided by Certified Flight Instructor Wes at your side.
-Bring a guest to watch from the back seat or take photos/video.
-Receive a sticker at the end of your adventure.
-Take photos with the plane and Instructor if you’d like!
-All lessons offered in our Aeronca Sedan on floats.

-Phone, camera with extra batteries, memory cards or film.
-Light Jacket
-Sunglasses

-Safety briefing
-30 minutes of ground training
-30 minutes of 1-on-1 flight time

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards. This all-inclusive rate covers all KPB taxes, and ensures there are no additional fees or fuel surcharges.
Flight Training

-Build an hour of flight time in Alaska in our iconic floatplane.
-Flight training for Private or Commercial Pilots.
-Fly left seat (captains seats) on all flights.
-You are at the controls guided by Certified Flight Instructor Wes at your side.
-Flight can be added to log book and signed off by CFI Wes.
-Customized plans and locations based on your experience. We can work on take offs, landings, pattern work, or head out for some alpine lakes and mountain flying!
-Bring a guest to watch from the back seat or take photos/video.
-Receive a sticker at the end of your adventure.
-Take photos with the plane and Instructor if you’d like!

Wes is an FAA Certified Flight Instructor who can help pilots with BFRs, Tailwheel and Float instruction in your plane with an emphasis on safe flying in the Alaskan backcountry. Perhaps you have always just wanted to fly a floatplane in Alaska, we can make that dream a reality! Take a discovery flight to see if becoming a Pilot is right for you, learn to fly a floatplane, or get instruction to log an hour in Alaska! No experience is required. We have a variety of options of flight instruction in our Aeronca Sedan. This plane is available May through October on floats. Sign up for your first lesson and take flight!
