This is a remote wilderness setting, and an immersive backcountry experience. There are no facilities, no restrooms, and no covered areas. Expect to be out in the elements all day viewing bears in their natural environment, walking on uneven wilderness terrain wearing hip waders.

We have a weight limitation of 250 lbs. per person.
We want everyone to enjoy bear viewing, so we do require that you wear a PFD and be able to safely enter/exit the aircraft.

Physical agility is required for this trip since we will cross creeks, walk in mud, slippery rocks, and cross uneven meadows.

We offer full refunds on all payments up to 30 days before your tour date. Within 30 days of your scheduled trip, deposits are non-refundable, and cancellations by the guest for any reason will not be eligible for a refund.
However, should a mechanical issue, weather cancellation, or any service disruption occur on our end, deposits will be refunded in full. We will do our best to rebook your group on an alternative day if availability allows.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover any unforeseen events that may prevent you from taking your trip within 30 days of departure.

Best Time to Bear View in Katmail National Park
In June, we head to the coastal meadows of Hallo Bay. This tour is led by a professional naturalist in a small group setting.
Guests are required to have the physical ability to walk 4-5 miles in hip wader boots (which we provide) on uneven wilderness terrain. Hallo Bay provides a gorgeous backdrop of Hallo Glacier as the backdrop in this remote and wild area - there are no services or amenities. In this area you may see bears grazing on sedge grass, clamming, or mating.
We will spend 4 hours on the ground and the flight time is just over 1 hour in each direction, so be prepared to enjoy a full day of adventure! We take off and land on floats, everyone has their own headset, and you will experience amazing views on your flightsee to and from this bear viewing location.
